Based on the current piano market and assuming your piano has been maintained regularly it would have a value of approximately $150-$300 in a private sale. The most important factor in placing value on a piano is the condition and an old unrestored piano is usually considered in fair to poor condition due to the wear and age on the internal parts. Because of the extreme age of your piano the value will be quite low. Almost all upright pianos of the time were upright grands as pianos didn't get shorter really until the 1930's to appeal to a wider economic range of buyers. Smith & Barnes wasn't in business for too long, like many other piano companies in the early 1900's they were bought out or consolidated with others. The serial number dates this piano to 1905.
